041 - N.S.W.,  G.M. Day at Panthers, Penrith
Article - Barbara Gentilcore, Photos - Barbara Gentilcore & Francois Vivot

A good turnout of 16 Buicks turned up to the Annual GM Day at the Penrith Panthers. There were also Chevs, Vauxhalls, Holdens, Opels, Pontiacs, Cadillacs & Corvettes.   A lovely sunny, sometimes windy, day on the other side of the lake. Some of the club members spent some time on the entrance gate helping out.  Our tarp tent was great shade for a while, for morning coffee, but was inclined to billow and shake with the gusty conditions, so it was packed away and Jim then parked his Chev Motor home behind our group as a wind break.

Congratulations to the Buick People's Choices for the day - Tony Gentilcore's 71 Riviera Boattail, Noel Hunphries' 1938 Standard and Owen Manford's 1948 Roadmaster Sedanette.

Some of us admired a lovely little Labrador puppy called Parish a Guide Dog in training that was with a family checking out the display.  He had a lovely face, a beautiful soft coat and very big paws!

After the presentation some tasted ‘On the spot Chocolate Cake' cooked by Virginia in her Thermos Cook Pot in their motor home and it was very tasty.

A pleasant day of GM cars and catching up with club members for a first timer.
